Have you made your Memorial Day plans yet?

Wow, there is so much going on around South Florida this weekend!

My pick for the weekend is Sandoway House Nature Center.  It is a nice relaxing place to learn through exploration and touch all that the beach has to offer.  Don’t forget to see the shark feeding in the converted pool!

Science at  Sugar Sand Children’s Science Explorium in Boca Raton.  Geek Alert! Robbie the Robot (Forbidden Planet & Lost in Space) and R2D2 are there right now.

Funtastic Friday and Movie in the Park at ArtsPark in Hollywood.

Sandoway House Nature Center Beach Walk in Delray Beach.

Great American Beach Party on Fort Lauderdale Beach

Since the weather is supposed to be at its South Florida Best, my Pick for the weekend is DuBois Park in Jupiter, it really is the best place to float in South Florida.  So Pack a cooler and spend the day on a raft!

NASA TV a better way to watch the Shuttle Launch

I woke up this morning wishing I had made plans to drive up the coast to see the shuttle launch.  My dd is only 3, but it may be the last chance for her to see it.

I did find another options though, check out NASA TV.  You can watch it live without commercials.  Right now they are talking about all the procedures that are going to prep for the launch. There is so much more than just the launch to watch at the site.  There is an Education Channel for teachers and students (it’s actually really good!) and live video of the space station among other things.

As an update, NASA TV is on Roku now too!
